Fight Night 29 over exceeded! Review.

New Baddest Man on the Planet!

We are extremely happy with how Fight Night 29 went. So many new pathways for fights in future events have opened up and I can ensure you it will make the fight night (30) the best one yet.

Starting of with the first fight of the night. Johnny Scott made his debut versus the seasoned Korean fighter Toyun Kang. Although Scott didn't get the knockout he wanted, he still showed up against a experienced pro.

Next was two debut fighters going at to grab the FFEI fans attention which it definitely did. Andre Bishop came in the favourite by a country mile but Hitomi Kiyoshi's spinning backfist sent Andre to the floor in a flash and Hitomi gets his hand raised. Asoma Cannonier claimed he is very interested in a fight in the upcoming weeks against Hitomi Kiyoshi if he can continue to impress.

The UFC Todd Duffee was next against Joe Green which ended in an brutal brawl, especially for Green who took a severe beaten, being knocked continuously throughout the three rounds but an uppercut is what ended his night.

At the start of the main card, Michael Briggs took on Tai Tuivasa in a intense fight with both fighters taking lots of damage but a spinning backfist + straight jab combination made Tuivasa drop to the canvas in his third consecutive loss.

Personally my favourite fight, Chris Kelly fought Wesley Carlos. The determination for a victory was blaring out of the two fighters as we watched a striking masterclass. In the end, Carlos took Kelly out with a head kick that would of put any fighter out due to it's perfect timing. Kelly claims he isn't phased by this loss and he will come back stronger in the coming weeks.

In the sixth fight of the night, Anthony Easton took on new comer Randy Brunson. Both fighters are well known for brute power and strong wrestling backgrounds. Anthony Easton's ground and pound pounded Randy to the point that Herb Dean had no choice but to step in. Anthony Easton is closing in on his second title fight of his career but first he still has a one competitor to take on that will soon be revealed.

'The Korean Zombie' Chang Sung Jung made his first appearance on a FFEI event versus highly respected title contender and brother of Michael Briggs, Connor Briggs. Straight of the bat, Connor looked the more focus fighter and delivered exactly what he would of wanted. A head kick knockout whilst Jung was preparing a spinning strike. Connor Briggs is yet again looking very close towards a title fight but Wesley Carlos stands in his way.

The Co Main Event. The rematch everyone wanted to see. Kazamir Dorokhov, the undefeated welterweight champion takes on Cordell Reed for a second time. In their first fight, it was very close. Reed knocked down Dorokhov multiple times but a fourth round submission secured the victory for Dorokhov. This time round, it was a very different story. Reed got bullied in there. Dorokhov put relentless pressure onto Reed, leaving him with nothing left to put on show. Dorokhov comfortably retained his title in excellent fashion

It's time. The main event began and the ring walks were intense. the two fighters walked out with their music echoing the arena. Who was the better fighter. Isaac Frost had a lot of pressure on himself. He knew Andre Bishop had lost his fight and he knew if he lost his, he could fall into the same bracket as Bishop. Frost had to win to retain his dignity over Bishop. This was one of the closest fights of the night. Whenever someone threw a punch, there was a feeling they would drop due to the power and force going into these strikes. In the end, Cannonier ground and pounds Frost to a TKO victory crowning him the new baddest man on the planet. Frost feels it was stopped early and he was fine but majority of fight fans think otherwise. You'd think a rematch would be in place but Cannonier isn't willing to and wants Frost to prove his worth.
